Maths week November 2012
We are almost at the end of maths week. We have had a fantastic week focusing on maths and doing lots of fun activities. A highlight of the week was taking part in 'Maths In Suitcase'. We were able to explore lots of hands-on problem solving puzzles. Below are some photos of us enjoying the puzzles. Remember you still have the week end to earn more points for year 6 on mathletics!

Maths week 26 - 20th November 2012
It is maths week this week. All week we are going to be thinking about ways we can enjoy our maths learning even more and help us improve our mathematical skills. We are having a whole school competition using mathletics, we have special log-ins just for this week. Which class will be top of the leader board on Friday? We are also trying to get Cabot school into the 'top 100 schools' on the mathletics leader board. Make sure you do some mathletics activities everyday this week to help our class (and the school) get onto the leader board!

Antibullying week 2012
We have had a successful week thinking about issues around bullying, including cyberbullying. We have watched a film, written letters, made power points and used drama to think about the importance of preventing bullying.

Switiching on the Christmas Lights 2012
Year 6 were invited by The Old Vic Theatre to take part in switching on the Christmas Lights at Cabot Circus. We got ready and had a brief rehearsal at Broadmead Baptist Church. We then paraded from there, through Broadmead, into Cabot Circus. Year 6 dressed up as 'Lost Children' because the Old Vic Theatre are putting on Peter Pan the Christmas. It was a fantastic night and a lot of fun fopr the staff and children alike. There are more photos in the 'News' section of the school website.
Fashion designer visit 23.10.12
We were very lucky to have a fashion designer Holly Pacius, currently working at the Hippodrome on the Lion King, come into class to talk to us about woring in Fashion and working with textiles. We have been working with textiles as part of our DT topic 'talking textiles'. We were able to try on some unique pieces of clothing!
