In Science we are looking at forces. We designed an investigation to find out what effect air resistance has on falling objects. We measured the time it took 5 differently shaped A4 pieces of paper to reach the ground: Flat, halved, quartered, screwed into a ball and an aeroplane. We found that the larger the surface area of an object the bigger the effect of air resistance in slowing the fall.

BBC outreach - Big Picnic Carnival preparations 10.6.13
Year 6 were getting into carnival mood today as we visited St Paul's Adventure Playground to take part in the 'Big Picnic'. The event was organised by the BBC outreach project. We took part in a dance we had prepared at school and enjoyed some party games after. We also met members of Laid Blak - A Bristol based band to do a a very special song to be revealed on Carnival day!
Meeting members of 'Laid Blak'.
We added our messages to the community message board!
Some great techniques seen for 'eating a doughnut of a string'!
